Words Worth Knowing was a vertical I wrote weekly explaining key pieces of gaming jargon to parents, guardians and teachers, as part of the larger overall GameHub outreach effort. What It Is: GG = "Good Game!"
What It Means: "GG!" is a short compliment used at the end of competitive online multiplayer game rounds to indicate an enjoyable session. It indicates that players have played fairly and well, with a minimum of cheating or anti-social behaviour.
Why You Care: Saying "GG!" to team mates and opposing players is a mark of respect, sportspersonship and politeness, and is considered good "netiquette."
